Pukerua Bay Surf Lifesaving Club

The Pukerua Bay Surf Life Saving Club was formed in 1950 after a drowning at the beach. The first members were all teenage girls and the Club was based at the now demolished Brendan Bay changing sheds. The Club was successful in regional and national competitions before going into recess in 1960. This panel is at the site of the changing sheds. See full story here.
