Winstones

Roof tiles and later bricks and pipes were made on this site from 1946 to 1987. The local clay was unsuitable for tiles but a range of brick and pipe products were made by up to 55 employees. Originally called Winstone’s Roofing Tile Works Ltd the name was changed in 1964 to Winstone Clay Products Ltd.
